Beach Yeeters
A new mob with two variants, the Beach Yeeter and Cursed Beach Yeeter, both found exclusively on beaches. Both are hostile, both are dangerous, and both are really really bad at sharing.

Optional minigame
Beach Yeeters come with their own optional minigame - collect cursed skulls for big bonuses, recycle broken skulls to protect cursed skulls, crack Yeeter skulls to get more skulls... there's a skull theme.
Occasional battles will earn you some diamonds, but serious diamond drops require a specific item from the minigame, and the quickest way to get that is through combat.
Combat
It only takes one direct hit to kill a charging Beach Yeeter, but once they're in range you only get time for one strike before they hit you, so it's kill or get yeeted at that point.
Pro tip: don't miss.
Weapons
Most melee weapons have an identical range when used against Beach Yeeters, but a couple of weapons feature unique ranges, making strikes either easier or harder.

Bones (easiest) have an extra-long range, bringing Yeeters into reach earlier and giving you more time for a strike.
Melee weapons (regular) all share the same medium range when used against Beach Yeeters. Weapon damage stats are not important - any direct hit on a Yeeter will kill it.
Spears (hardest) have the smallest effective range. Their maximum and minimum reach are almost the same, meaning the strike zone is tiny, and jabs need to be timed and placed perfectly to connect.
Not a fighter?

Beach Yeeters are actually really easy to block, so it shouldn't be a problem to cross a beach without getting into a battle. But with Yeeters lurking you'll have to stay constantly aware if you want to avoid a yeeting (spoiler: you do).
Remember that last beach you crossed? Probably not. Beach Yeeters bring some much-needed risk and adventure (and diamonds!) to an environment that's currently very forgettable.
