Overview
Better Craftables, available as a data pack and a Fabric, Quilt, Forge & NeoForge mod, enhances the vanilla Minecraft experience with recipes such as:
- Craftable Coral Blocks & Bells
- Raw Ore Block smelting
- Alternative recipes for Recovery Compasses and Sticky Pistons
- Cheaper recipes for Smithing Templates
- Redyeing recipes for Candles, Concrete, Terracotta and more

Make sure you download the correct version that matches your Minecraft version and mod loader if you are using Fabric or Forge. Please note that Fabric API is required to run the Fabric/Quilt mod version of Better Craftables.

A recipe for Tall Dry Grass, requiring 2 Short Dry Grass

Each type of Coral Block can be crafted using their respective Coral and/or Fans
Almost any stone-based block (not including variants) can be used to craft a number of items including Observers, Furnaces and Stone Tools
Never learn from your mistakes.
Almost any stone-based slab can be used in the Armor Stand and Grindstone recipes
Craft a Recovery Compass without Echo Shards! Diamonds and Iron Ingots can be swapped around. (Vanilla recipe still works!)
Copper can be used instead of gold in the Powered Rail recipe
Smithing Templates cost 3 diamonds to duplicate instead of 7. Works with all templates, including the Netherite Upgrade Template.
Works with all 23 Pottery Sherds.
Replace Leather with Rabbit Hide in the Bundle recipe (Leather still works!)
Replace Slimeballs with Honey Bottles in the Sticky Piston recipe (Slimeballs still work!)
Dye almost any dyeable block to another colour, no matter which colour you have! Applies to: Candles, Concrete Powder, Concrete (+ Stairs & Slabs), Glazed Terracotta, Stained Glass Panes, Stained Glass and Terracotta.
Combine any Sandstone block with Red Dye to craft its Red Sandstone variant, or any Red Sandstone block with Yellow Dye to craft its Sandstone variant.
Faster than smelting 9 Raw Ores into 9 Ingots. Also works in a Blast Furnace.
