🪴 BigPots

Vanilla only lets the small flower pot hold a few plants, and the big Decorated Pot can't show anything at all. BigPots changes that: put tall flowers, saplings, ferns and bamboo into the Decorated Pot and it looks like a real houseplant.

100% server-side. No client mod. No resource pack. Players just join with a normal Minecraft client.

How to use

• Place: right-click a Decorated Pot with a supported plant.
• Take out: right-click the pot with an empty hand.
• Breaking the pot (or blowing it up) drops the plant.
• There are no commands and no permissions to set up.

Supported plants

Tall: Sunflower, Lilac, Rose Bush, Peony, Tall Grass, Large Fern, Pitcher Plant, Bamboo

Flowers: Dandelion, Poppy, Blue Orchid, Allium, Azure Bluet, all four Tulips, Oxeye Daisy, Cornflower, Lily of the Valley, Wither Rose, Torchflower, Eyeblossoms, Cactus Flower, Pink Petals, Wildflowers, Firefly Bush

Saplings & greenery: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Cherry, Pale Oak, Mangrove Propagule, Azalea, Flowering Azalea, Fern, Dead Bush

Other: Brown Mushroom, Red Mushroom, Crimson/Warped Fungus, Crimson/Warped Roots

Tall plants need 3 free blocks above the pot, and everything else needs 2.

How it works

The plant is shown with display entities placed in the pot, so vanilla clients can see it without any mods. The pot stays a normal Decorated Pot.

Good to know

• The plant itself has no hitbox. Click the pot to interact with it.
• While a plant is shown, pistons can't push that pot.
• Plants whose pot was removed (for example by another plugin) are cleaned up automatically and dropped as items.
• Bedrock players through Geyser haven't been tested.
