Bio’s Journal
Bio’s Journal adds a rich, interactive journal and world map to Minecraft, built for adventure maps, RPG servers, and story-driven worlds.
Players receive their own personal journal with:
- A detailed map and minimap with terrain, regions, landmarks, destinations, and navigation paths
- Discoverable regions that remain hidden until found
- A notes system with formatting, sections, references, highlights, alignment, and multiple pages
- A history log for discoveries and quest events
- A quest page for active, completed, and failed quests
- Search tools for quickly finding locations, sections, icons, and history entries
- Persistent, player-owned journal data
Creators can use in-game tools to create regions, configure map icons, paint road types, place detailed settlement markers, and build quests with instructions, rewards, prerequisites, and follow-up quests.
Bio’s Journal integrates with Music Regions to turn painted world regions into discoverable journal content. It also includes a public API for other mods, including navigation routes, road data, region data, quest data, and dynamic map markers. Perfect for building living worlds where players can explore, document discoveries, follow quests, and find their way across a custom map.
This Tab shows all regions discovered. If a region is undiscovered, then they will show up as "???" until the player enters that region.
This is the quest tab that lists all quests into different categories. Active ones will go under Active Quests, Completed under Completed Quests, and failed under Failed Quests. Each has information you can see.
This is the history tab which shows the player when and where they discovered a region. This way, they can find the location or time they discovered it for quest specific questions and such. just hover over the region and it will show the coordinates.
This is the Notes tab, a very powerful player created notes section that has a bunch of functions for formatting. Section creation, coordinates input, italics, bold, alignment, and my favorite, references.
This is the map tab, an interactive map with icons that the player can move around or search within. double clicking will show a path that leads to that destination with an included minimap.
