ChatTweaks

ChatTweaks is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod that improves Minecraft's chat without replacing the vanilla chat screen.

Features

• Peek chat without opening it: hold the configurable Peek Chat key (default: Z) to reveal the full chat while you keep playing.
• Scroll while peeking: use the mouse wheel to review earlier messages without opening the chat screen.
• Extended chat history: retain up to 1,000 received and sent entries instead of Minecraft's default 100.
• Simple configuration: run /chattweaks to enable or disable features and change the peek key.

• Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer

ChatTweaks is client-side and designed to preserve Minecraft's normal chat screen and behavior.

The settings dashboard can contact GitHub Releases to check for updates. The request identifies ChatTweaks and the installed version; it does not send chat or player data.
