ChorusHome

Safe, fast and fully customizable homes for Paper 26.2.

ChorusHome gives your players multiple named homes with rank-based limits, public homes, clickable lists and safe teleportation. Every message is editable and supports hex colors, so it fits the look of your server in seconds. No dependencies, no database, no setup headaches.

Features

  • Multiple named homes per player with limits per rank (chorushome.limit.<number>)
  • Public homes that other players can visit with /home <player>:<home>
  • Clickable /homes list with hover tooltips
  • Teleport delay with action bar countdown, cooldown, cancel on move and cancel on damage
  • Safe teleport: finds a nearby safe spot instead of dropping players into lava, void or walls
  • Every message is editable in messages.yml, with hex colors (&#c084fc, #c084fc, short #ecc), legacy & codes and MiniMessage gradients
  • Configurable sounds, disabled worlds, name length and default home name
  • Admin tools to list, teleport to and delete homes of any player, even offline ones
  • Tab completion for every command
  • Lightweight, no dependencies, safe asynchronous saving with automatic backup
  • Missing config and message keys are added automatically after updates

Configuration

settings:
  default-home-name: home
  max-name-length: 16
  allow-overwrite: true
  limits:
    default: 3
  disabled-worlds: []
  teleport:
    delay: 3
    cooldown: 10
    cancel-on-move: true
    move-tolerance: 0.5
    cancel-on-damage: true
  safe-teleport:
    enabled: true
    radius: 3
    teleport-anyway: false
  sounds:
    enabled: true
    set-home: entity.experience_orb.pickup
    teleport: entity.enderman.teleport
    countdown: block.note_block.hat
    cancel: block.note_block.bass

Set delay or cooldown to 0 to disable them. Set any sound to an empty value to mute it. Home names can contain letters, numbers, - and _.

Messages and colors

Every message lives in messages.yml. You can use:

  • Hex colors: &#c084fc, #c084fc or the short form #ecc
  • Legacy codes: &l, &o, &r and the classic &0-&f
  • MiniMessage tags such as <gradient:#a855f7:#f472b6>text</gradient>
  • Placeholders written as {home}, {count}, {limit}, {seconds}, {player}, {world}, {x}, {y}, {z}, {old}, {new} and {prefix}

Set a message to an empty string to hide it. Use /chorushome reload to apply changes without restarting.

Built to avoid the usual problems

  • Homes inside lava, walls or the void are never used: players are moved to the closest safe spot
  • Chunks are loaded before teleporting, so players never fall through the world
  • Home names are case-insensitive, so Base and base can never clash
  • Homes keep working if a world is renamed, and give a clear message if a world is missing
  • Data is written atomically with a backup file, so a crash cannot wipe your homes
  • Teleport delay cannot be abused: moving, taking damage, logging out or double commands cancel or block the warm-up
  • Admins can manage homes of offline players

Installation

  1. Download ChorusHome-1.0.0.jar and put it in your plugins folder.
  2. Start the server once to generate config.yml and messages.yml.
  3. Adjust the files to your liking and run /chorushome reload.

Requirements

  • Paper 26.2 (or a compatible fork) and Java 25
  • Folia is not supported
