Cliff under a Branch or CliffBranch, is a worldgen datapack that improves on the vanilla overworld by adding new biomes and bringing several changes to all parts of the generation, all while trying to keep to the spirit of vanilla minecraft
Features
New biomes
From the vast Tundras to the cozy Oasis. CliffBranch introduces new biomes to discover with new sights to behold, across all temperature ranges and all terrain types
Improves the vanilla biomes
The vanilla biomes got a glow up, with revamp takes on them, and improved biome distribution. Biomes like Savanna Plateau with terracotta, the pale garden generating at more terrain heights, and the Mushroom Fields with elevated terrain and mud.
New rivers, improved water and fog colors, and deeper oceans
This pack alters almost all biomes water and fog colors to better match with the direction of newer biomes and match closer to bedrock edition, it also features new river types for the different temperatures to accomodate this changes, as well as deeper oceans that reach deepslate or even further in trenches with magma and basalt
Major changes to caves
CliffBranch implements drastic changes to caves, block light changes color in many of the biomes, there's more fog in them, and now surface biomes will no longer extend deep into the underground thanks to the addition of generic cave biomes all based on temperature, it also doubles the amount of spaghetti caves to make cave exploration last longer
Other gameplay effects
A couple of gameplay related changes come with the changes made by the datapack, this includes changes to the rate of specific mobs in certain biomes, saplings growing to the shapes you will see around the world, or the night getting darker based on the moon cycle

This datapack is a development fork from CliffTree created by Konci and Walls(me) which has been massively modified, ship of Theseus style, for over a year
Find the incredible basalt shores in the coasts amidst the cold and frozen oceans Filled with big basalt shapes and some gravel and clay around the place
A snowy variant of the Dappled Forest
New cold variant of the swamp with mud covering its surface, very few spruce and birch trees and the occasional ship that managed to get stuck here
A very cold variant of the plains, it features plenty of rocks, goats, flowers and a rougher terrain with gravel and coarse dirt
Variant of the forest with sparser placement of trees and massive rocks ressembling the fate lands from Minecraft Legends
They feature elevated terrain, new stone ocean biome surrounding them, and plenty mud
This new cave biome features deep underground across a lot of the overworld, it is filled with magma, lava and higher amounts of iron
A desert variant found far from the other lush biomes, it features bright green grass, camels and lush caves always bellow them
The biome placement has been improved to allow more variety of terrain types for more biomes, like for example allowing cherry groves to border the coast at lower elevation
Following with the visuals of the tundra the snowy plains gets improved to have most of the same but covered in snow and with ice rocks
Pale gardens can now generate in more terrain forms like the added pillars, as well as the pale oak got an improved shape, the biome features now some normal oaks covered in pale hanging moss and a very thick fog
Desert variant covered in splashes of coarse dirt and higher amount of dry vegetation, it appears around mangrove swamps and above lush caves
Featuring way high amounts of sunflowers, pumpkins, dandelions, and wildflowers You may also spot more of those things around this biome
A snowy variant of the old growth taigas, specifically the old growth spruce taiga
Surrounded by mountains you may spot big pillar terrain formations, you can find multiple of biomes in this
Featuring bands of terracotta and greener grass color
Rivers will cut through terrain forming caves in mountains
Fog, sky colors, and even the lighting of biomes has been improved for better visuals
Jungle biome at high elevation it features cyan terracotta, a colder look, denser fog, stripes of calcite, and a lack of massive jungle trees to let the stony peaks stand out among the canopy
Bellow the snowy biomes you will find this frosted caves filled with ice in the ceiling and patches of snow and ice in the floor
Deep underwater in the deep oceans you can find trenches filled with basalt and magma
