Presenting...

This mod adds a ton of color using just three different block types for so many things. Blocks, Slabs, Stairs, oh my, even Buttons, Trapdoors, Panes, Doors, Fences...(deep breath)...and Fence Gates. Plus! (drum roll)....recipes to support everything! Meet the whole family!

This mod also includes a datapack from Vanilla Tweaks (needed in order to use Colored Obsidian Plus pieces in Portal Frames), as well as instructions on installing it depending on if it is a New World, or an Existing World.
Colored Obsidian

- Panes (Recipe: 6 Obsidian Blocks = 16 Panes)
plus 4 sets of 16 Recipes for each group, 16 Recipes for Obsidian Portal Igniters for every color of Obsidian.

(Note: All Crying Obsidian pieces really do "cry", but slightly less than MC Crying Obsidian for performance purposes. But they all provide wonderful light too!)

Reinforced Deepslate
8 sets of 16 Colors of Reinforced Deepslate in:

- Fence Gates (Recipe: 2 Reinforced Deepslate Blocks, 4 Iron Bars = 1 Fence Gate)
- Panes (Recipe: 6 Reinforced Deepslate Blocks = 16 Panes)
plus 8 sets of 16 Recipes for each group.

Portal Frames
16 new Dimensions for harvesting more Colored Obsidian blocks. In addition, all Colored Obsidian can be used to create Nether Portals, as well as the portals for individual dimensions to harvest more of that material. Individual dimension portals require their own Igniter that matches that color.

Bonus Fun
As a bonus, Panes were also included in Portal frames, and Portals can be any shape and size larger than 3x2 (tall or wide), thanks to Vanilla Tweaks Custom Nether Portals.

Tags
There was 1 new Tag added: portal_frame. Any blocks added to this Tag can be used in the Portal frame.

Block-arazzi
Lastly, since this mod is all about fancy construction and whatnot, it is probably not a bad idea to illustrate some terrible building in order to show off the fancy stuff.

Requirements
Built and Tested on MC JAVA 1.21.1 and Neoforge 21.1.186
Converted and Tested on MC Java 26.1.2 and Neoforge 26.1.2.95
Converted to Fabric and tested on MC Java 26.1.2
This mod does not replace anything and adds a mountain of colorable potential, but it does require Neoforge/Fabric. Recipes are reasonably balanced. Yes, all of these Blocks are explosion-proof resistant, so it does offer some imbalance with regards to PvP. But those Creepers can sod off now. Later, gator! You ain't blowing up my stuff anymore, pal!

F.A.Q.
Q. Can I use your mod in my mod?
A. Yes! Please include the Credits.txt file from this mod for attribution.
Q. Why are my Custom Portal Frames not working?
A. Make sure they are larger than the minimum, 3x2 tall or wide. Only Colored Obsidian Blocks, Reinforced Blocks, and Reinforced Panes will work in Portal Frames, along with MC Obsidian.

Typical portal design using Colored Obsidian to form Nether Portal frames on the left, and Obsidian Dimension Portals on the right.
Because of the inclusion of Custom Nether Portals from Vanilla Tweaks, the tiniest Nether Portal can be 3x2, but there must be 3 blocks on the bottom of any design. The blocks can be Blocks, or Panes though.
All Reinforced Deepslate can be crafted from this basic recipe, just by changing the Dye.
All Colored Obsidian can be crafted from this recipe with the appropriate ingredients, mainly different Dyes.
All Crying Obsidian can be crafted from this basic recipe, by changing the Dye.
Colored Obsidian, Crying Obsidian, and Reinforced Deepslate have all their components shown under their respective color, e.g. Lime Obsidian has all the Lime Obsidian-related recipes.
It's a Nether Portal alright. Kinda fancy. But wait...
Well, it still gets you to The Nether, so are you really going to complain?
Dr. Frankenstein's Portal Monster. The Frankenportal. It's coming to take you away....to The Nether! (evil laugh crescendo)
One corner is incomplete to illustrate the various pieces used in the construction. The Crying Obsidian is casting the Light around the building.
Caution! There be monsters about! Also, White Obsidian in the hills!
Caution: There be mushrooms here! And yes, also monsters! But look, Light Gray Obsidian...in the hills!
Caution: This is a depressing dimension. Very gray, and drab, but also with monsters and Gray Obsidian...in the h..walls! (You thought I was going to say hills)
Caution: Things go bump in the Black-ness of the Obsidian depths! Like monsters and such, but also probably people harvesting Black Obsidian in the (alright, I'll stop that)
Well, it is not Orange, and it does not look healthy, but enjoy the Brown Obsidian Dimension!
Within the heart of every Viking living in the 21st Century, beats the life blood of the Red Obsidian Dimenion. (Not really, but that sounded really good, didn't it? Also, look Red Obsidian!)
Knock, knock. Who is there? Orange? Orange who? Orange Obsidian Dimension of course! (Orange you glad I didn't tell a joke?)
I mean we all know about Yellow Snow, right? Well, this is just Yellow Obsidian, so that is totally fine.
You know what they say, when life gives you Limes, make a Lime Obsidian Dimension!
Green Goblin(tm) would have a field day in the Green Obsidian Dimension, two of their favorite colors! Except this green gas isn't noxious.
Cyan, what can we say about Cyan? Its not quite blue, and not quite green, but it is surrounded by lava, and at least one tree.
There are some occasions when a light summer blue just goes well with the brown dirt and grassy trim. This is probably the only occasion, but that counts as a "some".
Blue-yah! With dirt too, grassy dirt at that. Count your lucky stars, just find a dimension that has stars first.
Tonight we summon the spirt of James Marshall Hendrix...excuse me while I "kiss this guy". (Purple Haze, complete with misheard lyric!)
It is definitely Magenta. You got that too, right? I wasn't sure at first, so thank you for agreeing!
Calling Mr. Floyd, is there a Floyd in the house, a Mr. Pink Floyd? No, just a lot of Pink Obsidian.
All Obsidian Portal Igniters can be crafted from this basic recipe, just by changing the Obsidian Block.
