🎨 ColoredSigns2

ColoredSigns2 is a lightweight, modern, and powerful Paper plugin that allows players to format sign text using legacy color codes (&) and Hex RGB color codes (&#RRGGBB).

It also includes an intuitive command to edit individual sign lines on the fly—no need to break and replace your signs!

✨ Features

  • 🌈 Color Code Support: Works with standard Minecraft color codes using the & symbol (e.g., &a, &c, &l).
  • 💎 Hex RGB Color Support: Supports full 24-bit Hex colors using the &#RRGGBB format (e.g., &#FF5522Text).
  • ✏️ In-Game Sign Editing: Edit any line of an existing sign directly using /editsign.
  • 🔄 Smart Auto-Suggestions (Tab Completion): When targeting a sign, auto-completion suggests the line's existing text—making quick edits seamless!
  • 🪵 Dual-Side Editing Support: Dynamically detects whether you are looking at the front or back side of a sign and edits the correct side!
  • Built with Paper Brigadier: Smooth command execution and auto-completion powered by Paper's modern command architecture.

🛠️ Commands & Usage

Looking at a sign within 4 blocks will allow you to run the editing command.

Command Description Example
/editsign <1-4> <text> Edits the specified line on the targeted sign. /editsign 1 &#FF0000Hello &lWorld!

💡 Tip: Press TAB after typing /signedit 1 while looking at a sign to automatically auto-fill the current line's text into your chat box!

🔐 Permissions

The plugin utilizes a simple single-permission setup:

  • coloredsigns2.use — Grants permission to use color codes on signs when placing/writing on them, as well as access to /editsign.
