An addon to create: power grid that brings realistic insulators, breakers, wires, and so much more!
WARNING: There is no AC implemented in the mod yet. Once there will be all transformers will be made AC-only as they realistically should be, so they will no longer work on DC.
Current features:
- Realistic insulators and their voltage ratings
- Realistic wire gauges and their current ratings
- Realistic breakers
- Multiple insulators placeable in one block
- High-voltage insulators can now be hung on wires
- Wire clamps also attaching to hanging wires, connecting multiple hanging wires together.
- (Visually) realistic transformers.
WIP Features (to be released soon):
- Single- and three-phase AC, syncing etc.
- HV Breakers (>100kV); HV Transformers
- Uninsulated wires (or insulated exceeding voltage limit) will shock the player and arc to other wires with enough voltage difference.
- OLTC for transformers
Known issues:
- No recipes, not usable in survival
- No breakers or transformers above 100kV (this mod is trying to make them as realistic as possible, HV breakers and transformers are more complicated and not implemented yet)
- Lots of glitches with multiple insulators in a single block, breaker hitboxes, insulators-on-wires placements etc.
- Transformers blowing up can leave lighting issues in the crater they create.
