Extend CrossChat with placeholders from your backend servers.

CrossChat Backend Placeholders is an addon for CrossChat that allows placeholders provided by backend plugins to be used in CrossChat's global chat format.

Instead of being limited to placeholders available on the Velocity proxy, this addon lets you pull placeholder data from your backend servers and use it when formatting cross-server messages.

📦 Requirements

• CrossChat — Required

🚀 Installation

1. Install CrossChat on your Velocity proxy.
2. Install CrossChat Backend Placeholders on your proxy.
3. Install the required placeholder support on your backend servers.
4. Install PlaceholderAPI and the expansions you need on your backend.
5. Configure the addon if required.
6. Restart your proxy and backend servers.

Once installed, backend placeholder values can be made available to CrossChat's formatting system.

💡 Example

You could use backend information such as:

• Player rank
• Economy balance
• Current world
• Player level
• Faction/team
• Server-specific statistics
• Any other value exposed through PlaceholderAPI

This allows your global chat to contain information that isn't available directly on the proxy.
