DangerCRAFT Modpack
This is the official client side modpack for DangerCRAFT Network, built for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric. It is designed to give every player, from low end laptops to high end gaming PCs, the exact experience the server was built around, without needing to install or configure a single mod by hand.
The pack is large on purpose. Most of it is performance work so the game stays smooth even with a heavy mod count, and the rest is optional content players can turn on if their hardware allows it.
Performance and optimization
This is the core of the pack, and everything here runs by default.
- Sodium and Sodium Extra replace the vanilla renderer with a much faster one and add extra graphics settings to fine tune it.
- Reese's Sodium Options adds a cleaner menu for those extra settings.
- Lithium optimizes general game logic (mob AI, block updates, redstone) without changing gameplay behavior.
- ModernFix reduces memory usage and cuts down loading times and stutter, especially on modpacks with many mods.
- ImmediatelyFast speeds up GUI, text and item rendering, which are usually not touched by other optimization mods.
- EntityCulling and MoreCulling stop the game from rendering entities and block entities that are not actually visible on screen.
- Clumps merges dropped experience orbs into a single entity so farms and mob grinders do not cause lag.
- ScalableLux improves how the lighting engine updates, which helps a lot in caves and with lots of light sources.
- Dynamic FPS reduces resource usage automatically when the game window is minimized or in the background.
- Debugify fixes small rendering and logic bugs that Mojang has left unpatched for years.
- BadOptimizations and C2ME add further low level optimizations to chunk handling and general performance.
- Bobby caches chunks on the client so distant terrain does not pop in and out as harshly when moving around the world.
- Ksyxis reduces lag spikes caused by structure generation without changing where structures spawn.
- CrashAssistant catches common crash causes and helps the game recover instead of closing outright.
- Spark is a profiler included so that if anyone does experience lag, the server team can ask for a report and find the real cause instead of guessing.
Multiplayer and communication
- Simple Voice Chat is enabled by default and is a core part of the DangerCRAFT experience. It adds proximity based voice chat so players can talk to each other while playing, not just through Discord.
- TalkBalloons shows a small speech bubble above a player's head when they type in chat, so conversations are easier to follow while playing.
Utility and quality of life
- JourneyMap adds a minimap and full map so players can navigate the world and find their way back to bases.
- JEI (Just Enough Items) lets players look up crafting recipes and item uses directly in their inventory.
- Mod Menu adds a proper in game menu to view and configure the mods in the pack.
- Durability Tooltip and Item Descriptions add extra information to item tooltips, so gear condition and item uses are clear at a glance.
- Zoomify adds a zoom keybind, useful for checking builds or scenery from a distance.
- Controlify adds full controller support for players who prefer a gamepad over mouse and keyboard.
- Language Reload lets resource pack language files update without restarting the game.
- Hello Biome shows the name of the biome on screen when entering a new one.
- RRLS reduces the stutter that normally happens when resource packs are loaded or reloaded.
- Axolotl Item Fix corrects a long standing visual bug with bucketed axolotls.
Optional visual mods (off by default)
These are included in the pack but disabled out of the box, so low end PCs are not affected. Players who want a more detailed world can turn them on individually from the mod
Optional visual mods (off by default)
These are included in the pack but disabled out of the box, so low end PCs are not affected. Players who want a more detailed world can turn them on individually from the mod list.
- Physics Mod adds real physics simulation to water, cloth and other objects.
- Particular improves and adds more detailed particle effects across the game.
- Atmosfera, Coolrain and Wavify add more realistic weather, rain and foliage movement.
- Soft Imprints adds footprints in snow and sand.
- Swinging Lanterns makes hanging lanterns move naturally.
- Sound Physics Remastered adds realistic sound occlusion and reverb based on the environment.
- Subtle Effects adds small ambient particle effects for atmosphere.
- Skin Layers 3D improves how capes, elytra and skin layers render on players.
- Better Grassify and Continuity improve grass and connected block textures.
- Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features allow custom entity models and texture variants through resource packs.
- Camera Utils and Flashback are included for players who want to record cinematic footage or replays of their gameplay.
Turning these on is entirely optional and has no effect on other players, so anyone with a capable PC can enable as many as they like.
Shaders (optional)
Iris is included to enable shader support, along with EuphoriaPatcher for players who want to run the Complementary shader family with the Euphoria lighting patch. The pack ships with several shader packs already available to select from the options menu, including Complementary Reimagined, Complementary Unbound, BSL, Bliss, Kappa, Noble, Rethinking Voxels, Reverie and Solas. All of these are optional and disabled by default, since shaders are the most demanding part of any modpack.
Resource packs (optional)
A handful of resource packs are bundled and available to enable, such as Better Lanterns, Better Leaves, Biome Water Plus, Clear Glass and Fresh Animations, for players who want extra visual polish on top of the base textures.
Libraries and dependencies
The pack also includes a number of library mods (Fabric API, Architectury, Cloth Config, Fzzy Config, ForgeConfigAPIPort, PuzzlesLib and similar) that do not add features on their own but are required by the mods above to function correctly.
Why use this pack
If you play on DangerCRAFT, this modpack is built to match the server exactly, so you get built in voice chat, a working minimap and a stable, well optimized game out of the box, while still giving you full control to enable heavier visual and audio mods if your PC can handle them. It is meant to work well whether you are on an old laptop or a high end gaming rig.
