Happy Ghast carriying a Ghast Tear

While riding your Happy Ghast, hold up a Ghast Tear and your little companion will unleash its full power.

Fast Ghast is a server-side VanillaBackport addon for NeoForge 1.21.1.

Feature

When the driver of a Happy Ghast holds a Ghast Tear in either hand, the FLYING_SPEED attribute receives a transient +100% modifier.

Approximate normal movement speed: 3.6 blocks per second.
Approximate boosted movement speed: 14.4 blocks per second.
Only the driver can activate the boost; other passengers are ignored.
The boost is removed immediately when the driver puts the item away or dismounts.
The Ghast Tear is not consumed.
The behavior is handled entirely by the server.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1
NeoForge 21.1.222 or newer within the 21.1 branch
VanillaBackport 1.1.6.3 or newer
Platform 1.2.11.4 or newer

Installation

Place in the server's mods directory. VanillaBackport and its Platform dependency must also be installed as required by your modpack.
