FlatPick
Golden adjustable mining pickaxe for Paper, Purpur and Spigot 1.20.6 – 26.3 that preserves a flat walking floor.
What It Does
FlatPick adds a special golden pickaxe. It starts at 3x3 and stores its current size on the item. Use /flatpick + and /flatpick - while holding it to cycle through 2x2, 3x3, 5x5, 7x7, 9x9, and so on.
When you break a block from the side, it mines a square face aligned to the direction you are looking.
The important bit: it never mines below your current feet level. In a tunnel, the bottom layer stays intact, so you get a clean walking surface instead of random holes in the floor.
Although it is golden, it harvests like a netherite pickaxe: iron, copper, lapis, gold, redstone, diamond and emerald ores, obsidian and storage blocks drop their items and experience (Fortune and Silk Touch apply). FlatPicks from 1.0.1 and older get this upgrade automatically on login or on the next swing.
When you break a block by targeting its top face while looking down by at least 45 degrees, FlatPick switches to floor mode and mines a horizontal plate on that block level. That makes deliberate downward digging possible without changing the normal tunnel behavior.
