Glass Frames is a vanilla-friendly datapack
- It makes invisible item frames possible in game, via Glass Item Frames a "new" item that also displays a custom frame like a normal item frame!!

They can be crafted with: 1 item frame + 1 glass pane for 1 or 8 item frames + 1 glass pane for 8.

When placing in a block, it will display a custom frame model like it was indeed an glass item frame

When placing any item inside of the glass frames, the display border will disappear and you will have just the item (invisible item frame)

Uses a custom resourcepack for the display frames and item model, but is not OBLIGATORY at all, without the resourcepack they will look like itemframes displayed in invisible itemframes, which is kinda confusing but still works fine

You can get them with commands as well: /loot give @s loot glass_frames:frame • /loot give @s loot glass_frames:glow_frame
With the Resource Pack
- Default Pack: https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/glass-frames-rp However, you can also make changes to the models and textures and make your own pack for it

Side by Side with custom resourcepack
Glass Item Frames and Common Item Frames without resourcepacks looks kinda confusing, but still usable and works fine.
The optimal one is 8 Item Frames + 1 Glass Pane in Crafting table for 8 Glass Frames But if you have leftovers and are willing to spend one glasspane perframe... You can use your inventory crafting space for it using 1 Item Frame + 1 Glass pane for 1
same thing as before, but for glowing item frames instead
