This mod was originally developed to fix the crosshair display issue on NeoForge.

Advantages Over Alternatives

Most existing container preview mods only work on container items inside your inventory and require holding shortcut keys to trigger previews. In contrast, this HUD mod instantly shows full block and container details just by aiming your crosshair at blocks in the world, no inventory opening or extra key presses needed. It fills the long-empty gap of crosshair-based item preview tools for high-version NeoForge.

Installation Requirement

This mod needs to be used with both the client and the server. Client download: High Version Info HUD Client

Of course, I initially just wanted to solve the issues I was having personally, so I probably won’t update other versions, at most I’ll do some optimizations and updates around 1.21.x. But I uploaded the Java files related to this mod to GitHub, so anyone who needs them can go there, download them, make changes, and then compile and use them.

This mod lets you check the items inside containers and then shows them on top of your screen in real-time.

Note: The name of this mod when it was created is blockinfo, so don’t be confused if you see this name in the source code.
