Your network, accessible from the hub
HubPilot Hub gives players a Navigator menu for choosing where to play and gives staff in-game tools for managing the network.
Players can see the available servers and request a connection from the menu. If a destination is offline, HubPilot Core can start it through your configured hosting provider while the player waits in the hub.
What Hub adds
- Server Navigator: show destinations with server status, player counts, ping, and startup information.
- Customizable layout: arrange server entries and edit their names, icons, and menu positions.
- In-game administration: manage server settings and Navigator entries without editing every configuration file by hand.
- Guided setup: connect the hub to the rest of your HubPilot installation.
- Staff access: use HubPilot’s Owner, Admin, Moderator, and Helper roles to control access to management tools.
- Hub items: give players a convenient way to open the Navigator.
For example, you could give your survival, creative, and modded servers their own entries in one menu. Players choose a destination, and HubPilot handles the request, startup wait, and transfer according to your network settings.
Hub provides the menus and controls. Core, running on Velocity, handles provider requests and player routing.
Installation
Install Hub on your Paper hub server. Put its JAR in the hub’s plugins folder alongside HubPilot Link.
You also need HubPilot Core on your Velocity proxy. Add HubPilot Interact to the hub if you want players to use entities, signs, portal areas, or supported mannequins as destinations.
Restart the proxy and hub, join the hub as an operator, then run:
/hp claimowner
/hp setup
Once setup is complete, use /hp gui to open the administration interface.
Keep a hub online so players have somewhere to wait while a backend starts. Players do not need a client mod to use HubPilot’s menus.
Permissions and compatibility
HubPilot stores its Owner explicitly. Being an operator can provide fallback administration access, but does not automatically make a player the Owner.
LuckPerms can grant HubPilot permission nodes on the hub. It is optional; HubPilot includes its own staff roles.
Use a Minecraft version supported by the file you download, and keep Hub and Core on matching HubPilot versions. Check the release notes for Link and Interact compatibility and for features specific to newer builds.
ViaVersion and ViaBackwards can provide cross-version connections, but they do not add every newer Minecraft feature to older clients. Modded destinations may still require the correct client version and modpack.
