Hug & Marry – Social Interactions & Relationships

Hug & Marry is a server-side mod/plugin that adds social interactions and relationship mechanics to Minecraft.

Available for both Fabric and PaperMC, it brings lightweight social features to multiplayer servers without requiring any client-side installation.

From simple hugs to marriage requests, customizable chat hearts, and optional private couple commands, Hug & Marry makes player interaction feel more personal and connected.


Features

  • /hug – Hug the nearest player
  • /hug top – View the players with the most hugs
  • /marry <player> – Send a marriage request
  • /marry accept / /marry deny – Accept or decline marriage requests
  • Marriage System – Players can marry, divorce, and manage their relationship
  • Marriage Info – Shows partner, since-date, and PvP status
  • PvP Toggle – Control PvP between married players
  • Custom Chat Hearts – Married players can use individual heart symbols and colors
  • PlaceholderAPI Support on Paper – Use %hug_heart% in compatible chat, tab list, and scoreboard plugins
  • Persistent Data – Marriage data is saved across restarts
  • Optional Hug Regeneration – Can be disabled in the config
  • Couple Commands – /kiss and /cuddle can be configured through admin commands
  • Admin Commands – /marry list [page], /marry info <player>, /marry couplecommands <configured_pair|married_only|everyone>
  • Available for Fabric and PaperMC on Minecraft 1.21.x and 26.1.x – 26.2

PlaceholderAPI

The Paper version automatically registers the following optional PlaceholderAPI placeholder:

  • %hug_heart% – Displays the player's custom heart symbol with its selected color

The plugin continues to work normally when PlaceholderAPI is not installed.
