Hybrid Toggle

A Sneak key (and others!) that's both Toggle and Hold mode at the same time :O

Tap the key to toggle it; hold it for normal behaviour. (You need to set the key to "Toggle" mode in Controls first.)

Works for all keys with a Toggle mode: Sneak, Sprint, Use, Attack!

Inspired by the control mechanic of the same name in the game Project Silverfish.

Usage

  1. Enable Toggle mode for your desired keys in Controls
  2. Tap (press and quickly release) the key to toggle its action
  3. Hold (press and hold down) the key for normal Hold behaviour
  4. Enjoy!

Configuration

A configuration file is created at /path/to/.minecraft/config/hybridtoggle.properties. It has two fields:

  • DEBUG (true/false): enable debug logging
  • TAP_TIME_MILLIS (number): time between key press and release to count as a tap, in milliseconds. Defaults to 200 ms, or 1/5 of a second.

The configuration can be reloaded in-game with the command /hybridtoggle reload_configs.
