Description

Strange portals have torn open across your world. After a long day of mining, you spot a massive swirling gateway in the distance—and horrifying creatures begin pouring through it, attacking everything in their path. They are clearly not from this world, and they have brought an invasion with them.

Welcome to Murdervasion, a fan-made, combat-focused Minecraft mod inspired by one of my favorite games, Murder Miners. Portal encounters bring battles directly into your world as squads of armed Murder Miners clash with waves of Zombie Miners.

Face the invasion

Encounter portals periodically open near active players. A miner portal deploys an armed squad, while a zombie portal releases a larger hostile wave. Sometimes a miner reinforcement portal follows a zombie invasion, turning the encounter into a battle between both sides.

Murder Miners are autonomous humanoid fighters that hunt the invading zombies. They can use the mod's firearms, fight at close range, move around the battlefield, crouch, reload, and protect themselves with a rechargeable energy shield.

Zombie Miners attack living creatures without mercy. Their only apparent motive is murder—and if the invasion has reached this world, it may already be spreading beyond anyone's control.

Create a signature miner

Use the Miner Customizer on a Murder Miner to change its helmet and armor colors. You can save an appearance as a reusable preset, then sneak and right-click another miner to apply that design. Build a recognizable squad, recreate a favorite look, or give every miner its own identity.

Weapons

Take on the invasion yourself or equip the miners with four distinct firearms:

• Murder Pistol
• Murder Shotgun
• Murder Rocket Launcher
• Sniper Rifle

The mod also includes throwable Murder Grenades, unique weapon models and animations, combat sounds, shield effects, explosions, and other visual effects inspired by the original game. Player firearms can be reloaded with gunpowder by sneaking and right-clicking.

Weapons are not currently craftable in Survival but obtainable from Murder Miners as rare drops.

Requirements

Murdervasion currently supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1, no other dependency mods needed.
