Breached
This is the official pack used to play Breached, a competitive Minecraft survival mod inspired by Rust and focused on looting, PvP, raiding, progression, and base-building.
Key Features and Mechanics
Tiered Crafting Progression
Breached adds three upgraded crafting tables: Iron, Diamond, and Netherite.
Each table can craft recipes from its own tier and every tier below it. Stronger armor, weapons, tools, Breachers, and important utility items require the appropriate crafting table.
Landlock Base Protection
Landlock Blocks allow players to claim and protect a three-dimensional area around their base. A new Landlock begins with a 5x5x5 claim and can be upgraded in two-block steps to a maximum of 25x25x25.
The player who places a Landlock is authorized automatically. Other players can sneak-right-click the Landlock to authorize themselves or leave the claim. A player can be authorized on up to three Landlocks.
Reinforcements
Players can reinforce any block inside their landlock. Hold a Reinforcer in the main hand and a reinforcement material in the offhand, then right-click the block.
Breachers
Breachers are the specialized tools used to raid protected bases. There are three tiers:
- Iron Breacher with 64 durability.
- Diamond Breacher with 256 durability.
- Netherite Breacher with 1,024 durability.
Normal claimed blocks consume Breacher durability when broken. Reinforced blocks take repeated Breacher attempts, losing strength with each completed attempt instead of breaking immediately.
Higher-tier Breachers provide much more raiding power, but they also require higher crafting tiers and more valuable materials to obtain.
Upkeep and Decay
Landlocks require upkeep to keep their claims fully protected. Each Landlock contains a large upkeep inventory that accepts copper, iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds, lapis, redstone, and their matching block forms.
Upkeep cost is based on the blocks inside the claim. Air and fluids are free, normal solid blocks have a basic cost, and heavily reinforced blocks cost much more. Larger and stronger bases therefore require more resources to maintain.
Landlocks have three modes
- Stable, when a landlock is upkept
- Decayed, when a landlock is out of upkeep. Breachers do 2x damage
- Offline, when all authorized players are offline.
Structure Loot and Progression
Breached structures are a major source of equipment, rare materials, and progression. They are designed to become natural objectives where players explore, compete, trade, and fight over valuable loot.
POI containers use five general loot tiers:
- Chests, trapped chests, and barrels contain Tier 1 loot.
- Shulker boxes contain Tier 2 loot.
- Iron Breached Chests contain Tier 3 loot.
- Diamond Breached Chests contain Tier 4 loot.
- Netherite Breached Chests contain Tier 5 loot.
Higher-tier Breached Chests require the correct Breacher to unlock. Major POIs can also contain unique traders, events, challenges, and special rewards.
Normal major POIs restock after a random 30-to-60-minute interval once the wipe has started, creating recurring objectives and frequent opportunities for PvP.
Limited World and Dimension Access
Breached worlds are intentionally smaller than normal Minecraft worlds to keep players, structures, and conflict close together.
- Small (Most Common): 1000x1000 Overworld and 500x500 Nether.
- Medium: 1500x1500 Overworld and 750x750 Nether.
- Large: 2000x2000 Overworld and 1000x1000 Nether.
The Nether and End are not permanently accessible. Their official portal structures open during timed server events:
- The Nether opens for 20 minutes, then remains closed for 30 to 50 minutes before its next opening.
- The End opens for 30 minutes, then remains closed for 40 to 60 minutes before its next opening.
Rare Fire Charges can ignite valid player-built Nether portals from the Overworld. These portals are tied to the same event cycle and are removed when the next Nether event closes. The End remains centered on the official End Portal event.
