PackettDisguiser

Standalone player-disguise plugin.

7 downloads

Change a player name and skin in tab, chat, and above the head with ProtocolLib. Random unused names or custom staff names, with optional LuckPerms rank formatting.

Commands

  • /disguise - disguise under a random unused name (needs packett.incognito)
  • /disguise <name> [default|vip] - disguise under a chosen name (also needs packett.disguise.name)
  • /undisguise - remove the disguise

Without packett.disguise.name, any typed name is ignored and a random one is rolled.

Random names

Two words plus two digits, like FilthyPenelope92. Each name is checked against Mojang and re-rolled until it belongs to no real account, so you never impersonate someone real.

Permissions

  • packett.incognito - use /disguise and /undisguise
  • packett.disguise.name - choose your own disguise name
  • packett.disguise - staff: any name including real accounts, bypasses the checks
  • packett.disguise.vip - appear with the vip display rank

Dependencies

  • ProtocolLib - required, does the packet rewrite
  • LuckPerms - optional, supplies the disguise rank prefix and suffix
  • PlaceholderAPI - optional, adds the placeholders below
  • TAB - optional, integrates with your tab layout

Placeholders

  • %packettdisguise_name% - disguise name, or real name if not disguised
  • %packettdisguise_realname% - always the real name
  • %packettdisguise_disguised% - true or false

Config

  • network-sync - false for a single server, true if a proxy on the packett:disguise channel drives it
  • random-name.first-words and second-words - word pools for random names
  • disguise-groups.default and vip - LuckPerms group whose prefix and suffix show for that rank
