Paintbrush
This mod makes life easier for builders by breathing new life into the brush with painting capabilities!
The mod introduces an item that inherits the behavior of the brush while featuring unique textures and mechanics.
Paintbrush:
- The entire mod revolves around it 🥶🤓
- Crafting: Hold a brush in one hand and the desired dye in the other, then hold RMB on any block. The brush turns into a Paintbrush of the corresponding color, consuming 1 dye and 1 durability.
- Appearance: Resembles a standard brush dipped in colored paint.
- Painting Blocks: Hold the paintbrush in one hand and the matching dye in the other, then hold RMB on a target block of a different color. It consumes 1 dye and 1 durability to dye the block (only works on blocks from the Colored Blocks tab).
- Tinting Glass: Hold a black paintbrush in one hand and an amethyst shard in the other, then hold RMB on glass of any color. Consumes 1 amethyst shard and 1 durability to turn it into tinted glass.
- Cleaning via Water Bottle: Hold the paintbrush in one hand and a water bottle in the other, then hold RMB on any block. It turns back into a regular brush, consuming 1 durability and returning an empty glass bottle.
- Cleaning via Cauldron: Right-click a water cauldron with the paintbrush to turn it back into a regular brush, depleting 1 level of water.
- Stripping Paint from Blocks: Hold a brush in one hand and a water bottle in the other, then right-click a colored block (terracotta, glass, glass pane, tinted glass, shulker box, or candle). The block reverts to its uncolored state, consuming 1 durability from the brush and returning an empty bottle.
- Particles: Dynamically spawns block dust particles during use depending on whether the target block can be painted.
- Durability: Has 64 durability points.
- Enchantments: Can be enchanted with Unbreaking, Mending, Efficiency, and Curse of Vanishing.
- Base Usage Speed: Default usage time is 40 ticks.
- Status Effects: Affected by Haste and Mining Fatigue.
- Repairing: Can be repaired on an anvil using String.
- Combining: Can be combined with another paintbrush (vanilla mechanic).
- Default Color: White.
The mod runs on Fabric starting from Java 26.2 and requires Fabric API.

Can recolor any block safety (preserving it data) from "Colored blocks" and support blocks from another mods with item id "<color>_...". P. S. Paintbrush is animated, but quality of gif can't show it
The glass can be tinted using a black paintbrush and an amethyst shard (which results in a 2x saving)
You can clear paintbrush into regular brush via water bottle or 1 level of cauldron (you may need it to change paintbrush color). Also you can clear paint from colored blocks with brush and water bottle
Else you can ecnhant brush & paintbrush with Unbreaking, Mending, Efficiency, and Curse of Vanishing. They affected by Haste and Mining Fatigue. They dynamically spawn block dust particles during use depending on whether the target block can be painted.
