PlayerCare — Minecraft Moderation, Reporting & Community Management

A complete in-game reporting, moderation and community support system for Minecraft Paper servers.

PlayerCare brings player reports, bug tracking, staff investigations, evidence management, community suggestions and a customisable rewards system together in one plugin.

Built for server owners who want an organised way to handle player concerns without relying entirely on Discord tickets, scattered chat messages or complicated external dashboards.

Whether you're running a small survival community or managing a growing multiplayer server, PlayerCare provides the tools to help your staff investigate problems, support players and recognise positive contributions.

Developed by Rix Development.

Player Reporting System

Give your players a simple, accessible way to report rule-breaking directly inside Minecraft.

Using /care or /report, players can report another player, select a reason and provide additional information.

Features include:

  • Report online or offline players.
  • Choose from configurable reporting categories.
  • Report cheating, harassment, griefing, stealing and other offences.
  • Add descriptions and supporting evidence links.
  • Automatically generate an individual case for each report.
  • Track previously submitted reports through the Player Hub.
  • Receive private updates and staff replies.
  • Request that a closed case be reviewed again.

All reports are organised into a structured case-management system, making it easier for staff to investigate without losing important information.

Dedicated Bug Reporting

Not every problem involves another player.

PlayerCare includes a separate bug-reporting system that allows users to bring technical problems to the attention of staff.

Players can describe bugs, provide information about what happened and submit evidence where relevant.

Staff can then review the submission, investigate the issue and record its outcome.

This helps server owners collect useful feedback and track problems that need fixing.

Staff Dashboard & Case Management

Give your moderation team a central location to manage reports and investigations.

Open the staff dashboard using /pcstaff.

Staff tools include:

  • View active and unresolved cases.
  • Review player and bug reports.
  • Assign investigations to staff members.
  • Manage case priorities.
  • Access submitted evidence.
  • Record private investigation notes.
  • View the history of case activity.
  • Respond to players privately.
  • Resolve and reopen cases.
  • Escalate sensitive cases to senior staff.
  • Access staff profiles and moderation activity.

Permission-controlled tools help keep sensitive information accessible only to authorised staff members.

Investigation Evidence

Each case can contain supporting information to help moderators make informed decisions.

Evidence may include:

  • Player-submitted descriptions and links.
  • Recorded public-chat context.
  • Relevant block activity.
  • Location and PvP information.
  • Staff observations and investigation notes.

Evidence is displayed using dedicated inventory menus, with categories, timestamps and detail views.

Submitted external links are treated as unverified information rather than automatically trusted evidence.

Case Timeline

Every investigation has a chronological activity history.

The timeline helps staff understand what happened throughout a case, including when reports were submitted, when staff became involved and which actions were recorded.

Entries display relevant dates, actions and staff members where available.

This makes investigations easier to follow, especially when multiple moderators work on the same report.

Staff Profiles

PlayerCare includes dedicated staff profiles that summarise moderation contributions.

Profiles can display:

  • Assigned investigations.
  • Active cases.
  • Completed cases.
  • Player and bug report breakdowns.
  • Confirmed or resolved outcomes.
  • Recent case activity.

Moderators can also access another staff member's profile through the assigned staff head within a case, subject to their permissions.

Profiles are intended to provide useful operational information rather than encourage competition between moderators.

Care Credits — Reward Helpful Players

Encourage players to contribute positively to your community with the built-in Care Credits system.

Players can earn credits for eligible, staff-verified contributions, such as reporting genuine problems that are subsequently confirmed.

Simply submitting reports does not automatically guarantee rewards.

Care Credits Market

Players can spend their earned credits in an in-game reward shop.

The shop includes:

  • Custom reward names and descriptions.
  • Configurable Care Credit prices.
  • Optional advanced command-based rewards.
  • Stock and purchasing limits.
  • Purchase confirmation screens.
  • Reward and purchase history.
  • Clear affordability information.

Five Fun Starter Rewards

PlayerCare comes with five example vanilla rewards:

Reward Price
Thank You Stick 25 Credits
Official Potato 40 Credits
Emergency Dirt 55 Credits
Suspicious Feather 75 Credits
Certified Clownfish 120 Credits

These are example rewards designed to demonstrate the system. Server owners can edit, replace or remove them.

In-Game Reward Shop Editor

You don't need to edit YAML files every time you want to change your shop.

Through /pcadmin, authorised administrators can:

  • Create new shop products.
  • Change item names and descriptions.
  • Set prices and quantities.
  • Choose display materials.
  • Configure stock limits.
  • Enable or disable individual offers.
  • Rearrange the order of products.
  • Remove unwanted products.

Changes are saved for future server sessions.

Server Suggestions

Let your community contribute ideas for improving your server.

Players can submit suggestions directly through the Player Hub without needing to join an external Discord server.

Suggestions are stored separately from moderation reports.

How it works:

  1. A player opens Server Suggestions.
  2. They write and submit an idea.
  3. The suggestion appears in the staff inbox.
  4. Staff can read, archive, restore or delete it.

No reply system is required, keeping the feature simple and focused on collecting ideas.

A configurable cooldown helps prevent submission spam.

Fully Customisable Minecraft GUIs

PlayerCare is designed to provide a usable experience immediately after installation.

Menus use Minecraft's familiar inventory interface, with organised icons, navigation buttons and consistent visual styling.

For server owners who want a personalised experience, PlayerCare includes an optional in-game menu layout editor.

Customisation features include:

  • 47 editable menu variants.
  • Move supported menu buttons.
  • Swap button positions.
  • Adjust supported display materials and labels.
  • Restore individual menu layouts to their defaults.
  • Save custom menu arrangements.

The built-in layouts are ready to use without customisation, while the editor offers additional flexibility.

No external resource pack is required.

Discord Webhook Integration

Keep staff informed about relevant PlayerCare activity using optional Discord webhook notifications.

Server owners can configure the integration to send supported alerts to their chosen Discord channels.

A valid Discord webhook URL is required before notifications can be delivered.

PlayerCare does not require a Discord bot for its webhook functionality.

PlayerCare also provides:

  • Permission-based staff access.
  • Private staff chat.
  • Personal staff notepads.
  • Configurable report priorities.
  • Case searching and filtering.
  • Senior-staff escalation.

Privacy & Data

PlayerCare can store reports, suggestions, staff notes and related investigation information.

On fresh installations, public-chat evidence recording is enabled by default and can be disabled by the server owner.

PlayerCare is currently in beta.

While the plugin includes a wide range of moderation and community tools, additional issues may be discovered through wider testing.
