PlayerPrefs

A per-player keepinventory, player locator bar, and hardcore mode configurator

41 downloads

Have you ever ran a small minecraft server with friends, and then immediately had people complain about your gamerule configuration? The obvious choice is KeepInventory being True, but the 7 goobers who hog your ram will never stop complaining about it. I present: PlayerPrefs! No one can be upset if they specifically get what they want. This mod allows you to have certain global gamerule settings be applied to individual players only. So, some people can be set to have KeepInventory true, and some players can have it set to false. This is extended to the player locator bar, and hardcore mode.

Settings

KeepInventory

This works as normal KeepInventory, just per-player. One person dies and keeps their inventory, the other doesnt. Straight forward

Player Locator Bar

If a player has this set to "True", they can see other players that also have this setting set to "True". However, if a player has this set to "False", other players can't see them, but they are entirely cut off from seeing other players on the bar aswell. No one can see them, but they can't see anyone as a result.

Hardcore Mode

This acts, literally, as normal hardcore mode in standard survival. When someone has their hardcore mode PlayerPrefs selector set to true, they must restart the game, and the mod will send the player a packet as if they actually had hardcore mode. As a result, the player has the hardcore mode hearts without having to adjust server.preferences.

Commands

/playerprefs hardcore <player> <true/false/default> - changes the hardcore state of a player upon rejoin of the server

/playerprefs keepinventory <player> <true/false/default> - changes the keepinventory setting of a player immediately

/playerprefs locatorbar <player> <true/false/default> - changes the locator bar setting of a player immediately

/playerprefs status <player> - shows all settings for a given player
