Have you ever thought that plain ol' Stone block would look really neat if it were polished with Oak? Or that lonely Basalt cube might be slightly improved with a touch of Mangrove? Well, this mod adds a nifty way to turn plain ol' Stone, Diorite, and Basalt into Polished versions with wood textures! Fans of SYLA (Staining Your Life Away) will appreciate the similar nature of PYLA. Conversely, fans of PYLA will appreciate the similar nature of SYLA. SYLA was all about Staining vanilla pieces, so PYLA is all about Polishing vanilla pieces. Of course, some Stones already have a Polished version, but not like these. Also included are Slabs and Stairs of the 3 types, Stone, Diorite, and Basalt. (Note: Basalt needed a Slab and set of Stairs added, so this mod brings those into play too.) PYLA Family Photo

PYLA provides 8 different Polishes that can be used on 3 different types of stone blocks: Stone, Diorite, and Basalt. Each of the 3 types has 3 pieces within the group that can be Polished: Blocks, Slabs, and Stairs. The Blocks also emit light equal to a Magma block, but not the Slabs or Stairs. And so, today we bring these 8 families together for a sit down. Shall we go and meet these families?

Recipes

Supporting these families, is a premier logistics outfit, that shall remain nameless, but we're all thankful for the Mojang, oh and also recipes. It all begins with Tree Logs that you Blast into polishing powder. (Note: The starting points for SYLA and PYLA are similar, but PYLA uses Tree Logs and SYLA uses Stripped Tree Logs)
Blasting Cherry Logs into Cherry Polish Powder. All Polish is grouped together in the Blast Furnace Recipe Book.

Next, quickly Smelt an Iron Nugget to get 1 Empty Polish Can.
Smelting Iron Nuggets to make Empty Polish Cans.

Finally, combine the powder with a honeycomb block, the empty polishing can, and you have a polishing can of that particular tree polish!
Crafting a Cherry Polish Can. All Polish Cans are grouped together in the Craft Recipe Book.

When all the polish has been used up, only 12 uses per can (come on, folks, the cans are small! LOL), the used can disappears, and an Empty Can takes the place of it. The Empty Can, uh can be used to craft more tree polish!
The Fate of Polish.
