Changes

  • Attributes

  • Attack Damage 9 -> 7
  • Attack Speed 1.1 -> 1.15
  • Durability 250 -> 500

  • Spear-based Features

  • Similar hitbox margins like Spears
  • Attack Range Survival 1.5 - 4.0 | Creative 1.5 - 6.0
  • Stab Animation & Fitting Trident sounds
  • No speed penalty when being used

This Datapack requires Item Components to work at all.

I personally recommend these projects to use alongside of the datapack:

  • Better Impaling makes Impaling do bonus damage to mobs touching water, instead of just aquatic mobs.

  • Spear Trident is great to make the Trident look better in the hand as a Spear
