Scream and Die

Scream and Die is a microphone-based mod for Minecraft. The mod listens to your microphone input and makes hostile mobs react to the sounds you make in real life. Staying quiet can help you avoid unwanted attention.

Features

Microphone Detection

The mod monitors your microphone while you play. Loud sounds such as shouting or screaming can alert nearby hostile mobs.

Sound-Based Mob Detection

The louder your voice, the farther your sound travels. Quiet noises may only attract nearby mobs, while louder sounds can alert enemies from much farther away.

Balanced Gameplay

Common hostile mobs such as Zombies, Skeletons, and Creepers will investigate your location when they hear you. Some mobs, like Endermen, are ignored to keep the gameplay balanced.

Multiplayer Support

Works in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Built with Architectury API, microphone events are synchronized between clients and servers for consistent gameplay.

Currently, this mod supports:

• English (US)
• Japanese

Configuration

Supports Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric. You can adjust the microphone sensitivity in the configuration file to reduce false triggers from background noise or breathing. Also, plans to support other versions!
