Shard

An AI-powered anti-cheat that detects aimbot, killaura, aim-assist and similar aim-based cheats.

What it catches

Aimbot, killaura, aim-assist and similar aim-based combat cheats.

Cloud-based detection

Detection runs on Shard's servers, not on your game server. The performance impact on your server stays minimal, even at high player counts. See below for exactly what data this requires.

Data Collection & Privacy

Shard takes your privacy seriously and only ever sends the minimum data required to detect cheats - nothing more.

To detect cheats, the plugin sends player combat data to Shard's servers at shard.ac for analysis. This happens automatically for any server that connects via /shard connect.

What is sent: player rotation data sampled during combat for cheat analysis, plus lightweight server telemetry (online player count, TPS, uptime, plugin version, and an anonymous server instance ID) used for monitoring server health and quota. Telemetry can be disabled in the config.

What is NOT sent: chat messages, player names/UUIDs, IP addresses, exact position/coordinates, or any other player data unrelated to combat/aim analysis.

No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for anything beyond cheat detection.

The plugin is open-source - you can review exactly what leaves your server on GitHub.

Setup

  1. Create a free account at shard.ac
  2. Install the plugin on your server
  3. Run /shard connect in-game or from console
  4. Approve the request in your dashboard to link the server

Pricing

Shard has a free tier suitable for smaller servers. Bigger servers need a paid plan for the extra traffic. The paid plan is credit-based and priced on the traffic you send, so the cost tracks real usage.

Requirements

  • A free Shard account
  • Outbound internet access from your server to shard.ac, since detection is cloud-based
