Stellar View helps your sky look just a bit better while keeping the Vanilla feeling.
This mod is purely Client-side and does not need to be installed on a Server to work. Which also means it will not physically change anything on the server-side and all changes it does make are purely visual.
If you want to use this mod with any shaderpacks, you must set the Static Sky config option to True!!!
For those of you who like to play on 1.12.2, some cool person made an unofficial 1.12.2 Stellar View backport.

Can you see Betelgeuse on the right?
The large blob of stars above Milky Way is the Large Magellanic Cloud
You can use the config to quickly adjust the Solar System's position
When a single star outshines an entire galaxy (Yes, this one is based on the SN 1885A supernova)
Maybe we won't see it go supernova during our real lives, but we can definitely watch it in Minecraft!
Yup, it's that bright!
Many stellar objects can be seen during the night
You won't find this in the base mod, but it's easy to add with a Resourcepack
