The functionality of torches has been slightly enhanced, adding a few minor effects—such as the ability to briefly set mobs on fire by striking them while holding a torch, and the ability to throw and place torches using a bow.

Tactical Torch

"Tactical Torch" is a lightweight Fabric mod that transforms standard torches into more versatile items.

Key Features

Igniting Enemies: Attacking an enemy while holding a torch sets them on fire briefly. Additionally, right-clicking a Creeper with a torch causes it to explode.

Lighting Campfires: Right-clicking a campfire while holding a torch lights it.

Firing with Bows and Crossbows: Drawing a bow or crossbow while holding a torch in your off-hand loads the torch instead of an arrow. When a fired torch hits a block, it is placed at that location. While hitting an enemy deals negligible damage, it does set them on fire briefly. Additionally, hitting TNT with a fired torch ignites the TNT.
