Focus puts your camera on a leash. Point at an entity, a player, or a block and lock your view onto it with a single key — from then on, no matter how far away it drifts, how much it moves, or what gets in the way, your camera stays pointed at it. Mark blocks you want to remember and cycle between them with a tap. Everything eases smoothly into place instead of snapping, and it never fights your mouse while a lock is active.
Focus is 100% client-side. Install it solo — no server-side component, no risk of getting flagged for something the server can't see.
Features
-
Lock onto any entity or player — tap the Focus key while aiming at one to toggle a persistent lock; tap again (on it or anything else) to let go. The camera keeps re-aiming at its live position every tick, so a lock survives the target running, flying, or teleporting away.
-
Hold to follow, only while held — hold the Focus key instead of tapping and the camera follows only for as long as you keep it down, releasing the instant you let go. No state left behind, nothing to remember to turn off.
-
Mark blocks and come back to them — hold the Focus key on a block to mark it. Marks aren't tied to render distance or loaded chunks; they're just coordinates, so a mark you set on one side of the map is still exactly where you left it when you finally walk back.
-
Cycle through your marks — tap the Focus key anywhere that isn't an entity to swing the camera onto the next marked block in your list, one at a time, in order. Keep tapping to cycle through all of them; a hold releases the lock instantly from wherever you are in the list.
-
Marks glow so you can find them — every marked block gets a lit outline visible straight through walls and terrain, brighter on whichever one you're currently focused on.
-
Name and manage your marks — open the mark manager with a second key to rename any mark, delete individual ones, or clear the whole list. No commands, no config file editing.
-
Smooth by design — the camera eases onto its target every frame instead of jump-cutting, and while a lock is active your own mouse input is set aside so the lock can't be fought or broken by accident.

FAQ
Why won't Focus lock onto an entity that's really far away? That's a server limitation, not a Focus one — if an entity is outside the range the server tracks for your client, your game never receives it at all, so there's nothing for any client-side mod to point a camera at. Marked blocks don't have this problem, since they're just coordinates and don't need to be loaded to compute a direction toward.
Does this work in multiplayer / will I get banned? Focus only changes what your own camera looks at — it doesn't move you, doesn't see through walls in a way that gives you an advantage over other players, and doesn't touch anything server-side. That said, always check your server's own rules before using any client mod.
Can I use this without Fabric API? No — Fabric API is a hard dependency.
