Lifesteal SMP plugin for Paper: steal a heart per kill, turn hearts into craftable items, eliminate by spectator or ban, admin revive and heart commands. Heart limits and messages can be changed.

Kill, steal, survive. Tovek Lifesteal gives you the classic Lifesteal SMP game. Every kill takes a heart from the victim and gives it to the killer. Players who lose all their hearts are out. Part of the free Tovek plugins by Toprak Eker.

Features

  • Heart stealing: killing a player moves one heart (2 max health) from the victim to you.
  • If the killer is already at the heart limit, or the death has no player killer, the heart drops as an item instead.
  • Heart items that you can hold. Right-click to use one and gain a heart. Item material and custom model data can be changed.
  • /withdrawheart [amount] turns your own hearts into items (you cannot go below the minimum).
  • Craftable heart: a shaped recipe of 4 Netherite Ingots, 4 Totems of Undying and a Nether Star.
  • Elimination at zero hearts: switch to Spectator mode or ban the player (elimination-action), with a server message and a title on screen.
  • Eliminated players stay eliminated after they rejoin or respawn. Admins can revive players.
  • Heart limits and defaults: default-hearts 10, min-hearts 1, max-hearts 20 (highest allowed is 512).
  • All messages use MiniMessage and can be changed.

Permissions

/withdrawheart and heart items need no permission.

Requirements

  • Paper or Purpur 1.20.1 to 26.3
  • Java 21 or newer (Paper 26.x needs Java 25)
  • No other plugins needed

Installation

  1. Put the jar in plugins.
  2. Start the server to create plugins/TovekLifesteal/config.yml.
  3. Choose elimination-action (SPECTATOR or BAN) and your heart limits.
  4. Run /lifesteal reload.
