Veinite: Mechatronics

A tech mod for 1.12.2 built around one red, slightly dangerous metal.

You start the usual way: dig copper and tin, smelt alloys, press plates, run a generator. Then you find a meteor crash site with veinite in it, and that changes the rest of the mod.

What's in it

31 materials with ores, ingots, dusts, plates, and tools and armour for most of them. Everything is registered in the ore dictionary, so copper from other mods works in every machine and recipe. If your pack already has enough copper ore, you can turn ours off in the config. Machines: alloy smelter, plate press, circuit table, industrial smelter, crop farmer, chunk miner, and a drill for the deposits down at bedrock. A chip line: EUV fabs, a chip assembler and an ECU multiblock. Every face of every multiblock can be set as an input or output with the wrench. Research. You don't unlock things by crafting them. You put research modules in server racks, wire the racks to a terminal and spend points on a tech tree. Anything you research gets built by the Data Reconstructor. Research is shared with your FTB team if you're in one. Two reactors. The Fusion Reactor has a fixed hull. The Veinite Reactor is a box you design yourself, any size, out of fuel rods, cooling rods and casing. Let it overheat and it explodes. Cyberware. Implants are strong, but load up on too many and you get cyberpsychosis. You can turn it off in the config if you'd rather not lose control of your character. Storage: bins with 4 tiers (one item type each, and the count is shown on the front), tanks that get bigger as you stack them, and powercells that join into one bank. A status screen shows everything on its cable network. The Facade Wrench turns an ordinary block into a hidden pipe that carries items, fluid and power. Decor: concrete, factory tile, dark bricks, rubber flooring and three kinds of steel beam.

JEI shows every machine recipe. The config lets you tweak worldgen, research speed, cyberpsychosis and machine sound volume.
