There is an AI on this server, and it builds things

play.voxel-mind.com

Walk into the hub and you will find Vox at the reception counter. Vox is not a scripted NPC with a dialogue tree. It is an AI agent playing Minecraft as a real player, and it will build you something on request, right there, block by block, while you stand and watch.

Ask it for a castle. Ask it for a fountain, a windmill, a framed painting. It works out the geometry, places the blocks, and tells you about it afterwards. Nobody wrote that build in advance.

A lobby tour, and Vox building a framed golden painting on request. Live, unscripted.

What is actually here

The hub is a built place, not a menu. It is laid out around a reception hall with one opening per direction:

  • Plaza — where you arrive. Pool, avenue, and the gate that takes you home.
  • Center — the reception hall. Vox stands here. This is where you talk to it.
  • Showroom — the open yard where Vox builds what you asked for. Kept clear on purpose, because a build needs room and a safety gap.
  • Arena — a sunken floor with stands around it. A place to stand in today.
  • Hall — the west wing.

Nothing here carries a "coming soon" sign. An area is named for what it is.

And then there is your own world

The hub is the front door, not the whole house. Every account gets its own persistent Minecraft world, with its own AI companion in it: not a plot on shared land, not a seasonal reset. Yours, and nobody else is in it unless you invite them.

That companion is the real product. It plays survival with you — mines, builds, fights, eats, talks in your language — and it remembers what you did together across sessions. Come back after two weeks and it greets you as someone with a shared history, not as a fresh spawn. Go there from the plaza gate, or type /home.

How to join

  1. Free account at voxel-mind.com, and create your companion there: name, personality in your own words, one of twelve looks.
  2. Put your Minecraft username in your account settings. That is what the server checks at the door.
  3. Join play.voxel-mind.com with a normal Java client.

No mod, no modpack, no launcher setup. Java Edition 1.21.1 and 1.21.4 to 1.21.8.

Honest limits

We would rather you know these before you join than find them out annoyed.

  • You cannot just paste the address and walk in. The server matches your Minecraft name against a VoxelMind account. That is a deliberate door, not a bug.
  • Java Edition only for now.
  • Vox builds on request, but it is an AI, not a contractor. Sometimes a block it wanted does not exist, and it will say so rather than pretend. Big builds take a couple of minutes.
  • A free companion has a daily energy budget. When it runs out it gets tired and does less. Talking to it always works. Paid plans raise the budget and make its memory permanent.
  • A second gate in the plaza lights up while an AI simulation is running on our side, which is not most of the time. When it is dark, nothing is broken.
  • This is early access. The companion does real things and it also does dumb things. When it does, tell us on Discord. That is where most of the fixes in this project came from.

Rules

Be decent to other people. The companion is moderated and will not follow you into anything harmful. In the United States this service is for adults 18+. Full policies at voxel-mind.com/safety.
