Render distant Voxy LODs on servers

Add-on for Voxy

This mod/plugin sends Level of Detail (LOD) data directly from your server to connected players, allowing Voxy to render distant terrain. This lets players log into a multiplayer server and instantly see fully rendered terrain stretching out for hundreds of chunks, entirely skipping the need to explore the map first.

Voxy Server Side

It is fully compatible with Fabric + NeoForge clients and servers, as well as Paper/Purpur/Folia environments. Just keep in mind that the Fabric/NeoForge version of the mod is always required on the client side, regardless of your server type. For some specific versions of Minecraft, Voxy will have to be obtained and built from forks or loaded through a compatibility layer such as Roxy, Foxy or Sinytra Connector.

Features

  • Receive distant terrain sent from servers for Voxy to render

  • View players thousands of blocks away (clients can choose to share location)

  • Storing LODs on servers is on by default for performance, but can be disabled

  • Write Voxy data from servers to Xaero's World Map (Voxy is not required)

  • Compatible with AntiXray, Moonrise, C2ME, and ViaVersion/ViaBackwards

Any Issues?

Firstly, please do not seek help from the creator of Voxy as this mod is not affiliated with cortex.

Ensure that you are running the latest version of Voxy and all dependencies on the client. Then ensure you are running the latest version of Voxy Server Side and all dependencies for your Minecraft version, on both the server and client!

Run /vss clearcache if you still have issues.

If you are still running into problems then it could likely be due to another mod. Try to run Voxy and Voxy Server Side (with dependiences) with no additional mods/shaders, if it works then you will have to find the other mod/shader that is incompatible.
