The Withered Forest is a new biome in the Nether. It is home to Wither Skeletons, the new Withered Fungus (which includes a new wood type!), and the new Blight Berries.

With Blight Berries, you can brew Potions of Decay, which grant the Wither effect. If you brew the Potions of Decay further using Glistening Melons, you can create Potions of Wither Resistance. This new potion effect will make you immune to all incoming wither damage.

A Snapshot of The Withered Forest biome. It features dark black stems with silvery veins going through it. On top of the stems is a new black wart block. On the ground of the biome, there are Withered Fungus plants as well as Withered Roots. Both of these foilages are black in color while the fungus has specs of gray. Also notably featured, is a dead shroomlight, which lacks the orange color from the vanilla shroomlight and a wither skeleton hiding behind the tree closest to the camera on the right side.
